“Waiting for Magnolia Blossoms”

There are always prints with some imperfections, perhaps a first proof.
I keep them and from time to time I use them for a collage.
Of course this new work still has traces of the spirit the original work had. But now the elements of the print have a new meaning, find their own right as forms, start a new life. I like this kind of work very much.

Es gibt immer Drucke, die nicht perfekt sind, vielleicht erste Probeabzüge.
Ich behalte sie und von Zeit zu Zeit benutze ich sie für Collagen.
Natürlich findet sich in diesen neuen Arbeiten etwas vom Geist der Originaldrucke. Aber die Elemente des Drucks haben eine neue Bedeutung, finden ihr eigenes Recht als Formelemente, beginnen ein neues Leben.
Ich liebe diese jArt von Arbeit sehr.
