Eine alte Buche ist gefällt. Auf dem Stumpf sind einige Splitter stehen geblieben. Hier eine Buntstiftstudie für einen möglichen Farbholzschnitt. Jede einzelne Farbe ist eine Überlagerung von (wenig) Blau, Rot und Gelb. So kann es auch im Druck sein. Bei jeweils zwei verschiedenen Farbpigmenten, jeweils  zart oder intensiv gedruckt, ergeben sich schon 64 Überlagerungen. Eine interessante Herausforderung.

An old beech tree is cut down. On the stump there are some splinters. Here is a study with color pencil preparing a color woodblock print. Every single color is a mixture of (some) blue, red und yellow. So it could be in the print. Using two different pigment for each color, printing it as an intense or soft color, there are 64 combinations. An interesting task.
