Die Pestwurz – entlang der Waldwege zeigt sie ihre großen Blätter. Dies Motiv stellt mich vor zwei Herausforderunge: die Farbe Grün und ein Motiv ohne Farbkontraste. Zwei Gründe, es trotzdem zu versuchen.
In der Natur wirkt Grün harmonisch und beruhigend. Als Farbpigment wirkt es auf mich of künstlich, unnatürlich. Das Grün im Laub enthält Rot- und Brauntöne, wie es der Herbst beweist. Die richtige Mischung – das ist nicht einfach.
Und ein Bild ohne Farbkontraste ist eine Frage der Balance. Sind die Unterschiede in Helligkeit und Sättigung zu stark, zerreisst es das Bild, sind sie zu gering, wird das Bild flach. Mich hat die Aufgabe gereizt.

Pestroot – along the footpathes in the woods it shows it´s broad leaves. This motiv has two challenges for me: The color green and a motiv without color-contrast. Two reasons, to try it anyway.
In nature green looks harmonic und soothing. As a pigment it looks very often artificial, unnatural to me. The green in the leaves always contains red and brown – autumn shows it. The right mixture – that´s not easy.
And a picture without color contrast, that´s a question of balance. If the differences in brightness and saturation are too strong, the picture is torn apart. Are they too weak, the picture looks flat. It was an interesting challenge.
